Kildonan Place is a middle-market regional shopping centre that serves shoppers in the northeast area of the city with a mix of national, regional, and local retailers. Strategically situated in one of the busiest retail and commercial nodes in Winnipeg, the mall has over 100 stores and services, including a food court. With 460,715 square feet (42,801.8 m2) of gross leaseable area, [1] Kildonan Place is the third largest shopping centre in Winnipeg, and the largest in Winnipeg's northeast. The mall is managed by Ivanhoe Cambridge, who is also a majority owner of the mall.

Kildonan Place opened in 1980, with anchors Sears, The Bay, and Dominion Foods. Dominion Foods closed in the 1980s, which saw the addition of a food court and current anchor Famous Players Theatres. Following a $4 million renovation in 2004, Kildonan Place saw the addition of several new fashion retailers, and a whole new look for the mall. A guest services kiosk was added in 2006, and a children's play area was installed in fall 2008. An additional 100,000 sq ft (9,300 m2). of large format stores and in-line stores is planned. [2] The Zellers located in the mall is part of the large Zellers buyout from Target, that will eventually see that the Zellers located in Kildonan Place transformed into a Target. [3]
The mall is located at 1555 Regent Avenue West, in the area of Winnipeg known as Transcona, near the intersection of Regent Avenue and Lagimodiere Boulevard.
